How long does the KYC verification process take?

Generally, the KYC verification process takes approximately 15 minutes. However, due to the complexity of information verification, KYC verification may at times take up to 48 hours.

 

 

 

What should I do if the KYC verification process exceeds 48 hours?

If you encounter any issues with KYC verification, kindly contact us by submitting a case to our Customer Support. Once you’ve submitted a case, you’ll receive an automated email with the case number stated. The relevant team will reach out to you within one working day.

 

 

 

What banks and currencies are supported under bank verification?

Currently, the SEPA payment method and the EUR currency are supported for the bank verification. 

 

 

 

What amount should I deposit for bank verification?

You may deposit 1 EUR to complete the verification. If you deposit more than 1 EUR, the deposit will still be credited to your account. However, if all required verifications are not completed within the required timeframe, your deposit will be refunded.

 

 

 

How long is my bank verification valid during additional verification steps?

Bank verification information remains valid for 14 days while you complete any additional required verifications. If the required verification is not completed within this timeframe, your deposit will be refunded, and you will need to restart the verification steps.

 

 

 

What should I do if I deposit more than 1 EUR during the bank verification?

If you deposit more than 1 EUR, the deposit will still be credited to your account. You may go to the Fiat Deposit History to view your assets.

 

 

 

Are all languages supported for video verification?

At the moment, video verification is only supported in English, German, Polish, Italian, and French. In the meantime, please consider using the bank verification method as an alternative if your preferred language is not available. 

 

 

 

What should I do if I forgot to enter the Reference ID during the bank verification process?

If you forgot to include the Reference ID, please make another deposit with the Reference ID. The deposit without a Reference ID will be refunded to your bank account within 7 working days.

 

 

 

Can I switch to video verification if I have already started the QES verification or bank verification process?

Yes, you can switch the verification method if the verification status is Pending Submission. However, please note that your previous Proof of Identity (POI) verification will be reset if you choose to switch to a different verification method.

 

 

 

Why am I still required to complete further verification?

Due to regulatory requirements, you will need to complete additional verification steps before you can continue using certain features. You may be required to complete one (1) or two (2) of the following additional verifications: 

  1. Complete a short 2-question questionnaire that takes less than 1 minute. 

  2. Complete a short 2-question questionnaire and an EDD (Enhanced Due Diligence) process by uploading Proof of Funds and Proof of Wealth, such as bank statements or income documents.

  3. Submit a valid Proof of Address (POA) due to regional regulatory obligations.

 

The review process usually takes up to 72 hours. You can visit the Support Hub to check the review status under Compliance Ticket. If the processing time is exceeded, please contact our Compliance Team at complianceops@bybit.com  for further assistance.
