Bybit EU at Vienna Chamber of Commerce Gathering
Jun 25, 2026

There is a particular kind of conversation that only happens when the cameras are off and the formal agenda is set aside. It is the kind of conversation where people say what they actually think: about markets, about regulation, about the future of an industry that is still finding its shape. That is the conversation that Bybit EU was invited to join at a recent gathering hosted by the Vienna Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The event brought together Bybit EU and local financial service providers for an intimate, off-the-record roundtable. Representing the company were Co-CEOs Mazurka Zeng and Georg Harer, Managing Director Bernhard Krick, and senior team members Roland Gollenbeck and Shayan Erfani. Together, they joined peers from across the Austrian financial sector for an evening of candid dialogue about the intersection of traditional and digital finance.

Austria has long been one of Europe's most thoughtful jurisdictions when it comes to financial regulation. The FMA, which granted Bybit EU its operating licence, has been a constructive partner in the company's European journey, and the broader Austrian financial community has shown a genuine willingness to engage with crypto on its own terms — not as a threat, but as an evolution.

The Vienna Chamber of Commerce gathering was a reflection of that spirit. The conversations ranged from the practical; how MiCAR is changing compliance requirements, what institutional adoption looks like in practice, to the philosophical: what does it mean for a country to become a crypto hub, and what responsibilities come with that status?

The evening ended, as the best Austrian evenings do, in a spirit of ‘gemütlichkeit’ — that untranslatable combination of warmth, comfort, and good company that is uniquely Viennese. It is a quality that Bybit EU hopes to bring to everything it does in Austria and beyond.
