Bybit EU Co-CEO Mazurka Zeng at DAAA Member Lounge
May 25, 2026

What comes after the licence? It is the question that every serious player in European crypto is now asking, and it was the central theme of a panel that Bybit EU Co-CEO Mazurka Zeng joined at the DAAA Member Lounge, hosted by EY and EY Law Austria – Pelzmann Gall Größ Rechtsanwälte GmbH.

The DAAA (Digital Assets Association Austria) is one of the most important voices in the Austrian crypto ecosystem, bringing together companies, regulators, and advisors to shape the future of digital finance in the country. The Member Lounge format is designed for exactly the kind of conversation that Mazurka Zeng joined: substantive, expert, and focused on what actually matters.

Fellow panelists included Audrey Lim, Martin Hanzl, and Lukas Amstler, with Anja Moser moderating. The conversation was wide-ranging, covering everything from the practical challenges of building compliant infrastructure to the broader question of how Europe can position itself as a global leader in regulated digital finance.

For Bybit EU, the DAAA panel was an opportunity to share the company's perspective from the inside. Having navigated the FMA authorisation process and built a compliant European operation, Bybit EU has a unique vantage point on what it actually takes to turn a MiCAR licence into a competitive advantage. The answer, as Mazurka Zeng outlined, involves three things: a genuine commitment to user protection, a willingness to invest in local relationships, and a product suite that makes crypto genuinely useful for everyday Europeans.

The evening was a reminder of why events like the DAAA Member Lounge matter. In an industry that moves fast and often communicates in headlines, there is enormous value in slowing down, sitting in a room with the people who are shaping the landscape, and thinking out loud together. Bybit EU is grateful to DAAA, Walter Moesenbacher, and the entire EY Law team for creating that space.
