    FAQ — Discontinuation of Bybit.nl services and migration to Bybit EU

    Bybit.nl services will fully discontinue on Sep 30, 2025. To continue using Bybit, you must migrate your account to Bybit EU GmbH, which is licensed under MiCAR to serve clients in the EEA.

     

    Starting from 15 Sep, 2025, we have stopped all features except for withdrawal on Bybit.nl. To ensure everything works smoothly for our Bybit.nl users, we will gradually roll out the migration feature and expect all NL users to have full access to the migration feature by 16 Sep, 8 AM UTC. By that time, you can start the migration process from your Account Overview page. In the meantime, please spend some time reading through some FAQs. 

     

     

    How to migrate my NL account to Bybit EU

    The migration feature is available on the NL site starting from 16 Sep 2025, 8AM UTC to 29 Sep 2025, 8AM UTC. You can migrate your account within this period. 

     

    The migration includes four steps: Link Account, Identity Verification, Asset Transfer, and lastly, Card Transfer (if any). You can simply follow the steps below to migrate your NL account to Bybit EU.

     

     

    Step 1: Go to Bybit.nlAccount Overview page, click  Start

     

     

     

     

    Step 2: Read through the important information regarding the migration process, and click on I understand to continue.

     

     

     

     

    Step 3: You can choose to create a new Bybit EU account or log in to an existing Bybit EU account to link with your NL account by following the steps on the screen accordingly. 

    • If you link your NL account to an existing EU account, the account must have the same identity (Date of Birth and Selfie) as your NL account. If the identity verification of the linked account has not been completed, you can continue to the next steps.

    • Accounts with different email addresses are allowed, but the identity must match.

     

     

     

     

    Step 4: Account linked successfully! Please go to Bybit.eu to continue the identity verification and asset transfer process. 

     

     

     

     

    Step 5: Go to Bybit.eu Account Overview page to look for the migration entrance. Click Continue.

     

     

     

     

    Step 6: Complete the identity verification on Bybit.eu with the same identity as your NL account. To learn the identity verification process on Bybit EU, please visit here.

    • Approval usually takes 15 minutes; it may take up to 3 days if advanced verification is involved.

    • If you have linked an account with KYC completed, this step will automatically be marked as done.

     

     

     

     

    Step 7: Once your identity verification is completed, you can initiate the Asset Transfer on Bybit.eu. Please review the following carefully before confirming:

    • You might be required to submit the source of funds and the source of wealth for asset transfer.

    • Supported coins will be transferred automatically. Unsupported coins can be converted into USDC with no fees, and then migrated to your EU account.

    • For EUR, it will be auto-converted into EURC and transferred to your EU account.

    • Assets in all Subaccounts will be moved into the Main Funding Account for transfer.

    • After initiating the transfer, withdrawal and transfer functions will be restricted. Please complete any withdrawals in advance and avoid new deposits to your Bybit.nl account, as they may result in permanent loss.
      Delisted coins cannot be converted. Please withdraw them before starting the process.

     

     

     

     

    Step 8: You can see the total assets held under your Main account and Subaccounts, then click on the Asset Transfer button.

     

     

     

     

     

    Step 9: If you hold unsupported tokens, you can click Convert on the page to convert them into USDC, which will then be transferred to your EU account.

    • You can convert up to 20 tokens at a time. If you have more, simply click the convert button again after the previous conversion is completed.

    • In rare cases, some tokens may not be converted immediately due to insufficient third-party liquidity. These tokens will be exchanged into USDC at the closing price on Sep 29, 2025, and transferred to your EU account on Sep 30, 2025.

     

     

     

     

    Step 10: Your assets have been transferred successfully! If you do not have a Bybit Card linked to your NL account, your migration process is now complete, and you may continue using your Bybit EU account. Please avoid making any further deposits to your NL account, as this may result in permanent loss of assets.

     

    If you have a Bybit card on your NL account, continue with the steps below. 

     

     

     

    Step 11: Migrate your Bybit NL card and points on Bybit.eu. 

    • You can only initiate the card transfer once.

      • If you already have an EU card or a pending application, you must choose one card to keep.

      • If you prefer to keep your NL card, please cancel the EU application or terminate the EU card before clicking the migration button.

      • An NL card with pending authorizations or refunds cannot be migrated. If you wish to keep the NL card, please wait 3–5 days until the authorization is cleared before attempting migration.

    • Points can be transferred and adjusted using the prevailing USD/EUR exchange rate and rounded up to the nearest integer.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Can I still make withdrawals from my NL account?

    The withdrawal feature will be available until 22 Sep 2025, 8 AM UTC, or until you initiate the asset transfer—whichever comes first. Please make sure to manage your assets before this deadline.

     

     

     

    Can I opt out of migration?

    Yes, you can choose to opt out of migration from the migration feature page if your account balance is under $5. Once you opt out, your account will not be migrated to Bybit EU on Sep 30, 2025.

     

     

     

    Why do I see that the NL card cannot be transferred?

    You will not be able to migrate your NL card to Bybit EU if you meet any of the following: 

    • You have active cards on Bybit EU

    • You have an ongoing card application in Bybit EU

    • You have not completed the required identity verification for the Bybit card. Please proceed to complete your Proof of Address (POA) on Bybit EU.

    • Your Bybit.nl card is blocked due to risk control or compliance reasons. 

    • You have a pending authorization or refund.

     

     

     

    I have an ongoing card application or active card on Bybit EU, how can I keep my NL card?

    You can only choose one card to keep.

     

    Option 1: To keep the EU card

    Since you already have an EU card, your NL card will automatically be set to ineligible for migration. You can still migrate your points to Bybit EU, subject to exchange rate calibration.

     

    Option 2: To keep the NL card

    Please do not click the card/points migration button yet. You must first cancel any Bybit EU card application or terminate your EU card. Only after that can you transfer your NL card.

     

     

     

     

    I cannot migrate my card due to pending authorization or refund of my Bybit NL card. What should I do?

    If you have a pending authorization or refund on your Bybit NL card, please wait until the transaction is fully processed (usually 3–5 days) before starting the migration. Do not click Migrate Card/Points until then. Once the transaction is completed, you can return to the card transfer page and proceed with your card migration to Bybit EU.

     

     

     

    Will my cashback tiers on my Bybit NL card be migrated?

    Yes. Since your monthly spending records will be migrated, the cashback tiers at the time you initiate the card transfer can also be migrated. However, for cashback tiers tied to VIP levels, if your Bybit EU account does not have VIP status, you will not be eligible for those tiers. Once your card has been migrated, your tier will be updated on your EU account within 48 hours.

     

     

     

    Will my VIP status on NL account be transferred to Bybit EU?

    Your VIP status will not be transferred. However, we have sent an exclusive VIP Trial Card on Bybit EU to our VIPs on Bybit NL. Please refer to the email received and redeem the code by 30 Sep 2025. For more details, you can reach out to your Relationship Manager.

     

     

     

    I have registered my account using the Referral Code. Will the referral relationship be migrated over?

    No, the referral relationship will not be migrated.

     

     

     

    I have registered my account using an Affiliate Code. Will the binded relationship be migrated over to my Bybit EU account?

    Yes. If you did not enter a different affiliate code when registering your Bybit EU account, the affiliate code from your Bybit NL account will be automatically migrated to your EU account.

     

     

     

    Will my UID and trade history migrate?

    Your UID on Bybit EU will change. Trade and asset history on NL accounts will not be migrated. Please download it before Sep 29, 2025.

     

     

     

    Can my Subaccount created on Bybit NL be migrated to Bybit EU?

    No, your subaccount will not be migrated to Bybit EU. You can create new Subaccounts on Bybit EU.

     

     

     

    Will my rewards on the NL account be migrated over to Bybit EU?

    No. Any rewards (such as APR booster, coupon or more) on your NL account will not be migrated to Bybit EU. Please utilize your rewards by 15 Sep, 2025.

     

     

     

    I verified my NL account with Business verification. What would happen to my account?

    Business Verification is not currently available on Bybit EU, but we’re working on making it available in the near future. Only Identity Verification is supported on Bybit EU. 

     

    In the meantime, please ensure that you manage and withdraw your assets on your Bybit NL account before 22 Sep, 2025. You can still register an account on the EU site, and once the Business Verification is launched, you’ll be able to complete the Business Verification process seamlessly. 

     

     

     

    What happens to coins not supported on Bybit EU?

    Once you initiate the asset transfer using the migration tools, 

    • Supported crypto assets will be transferred over to your EU account.

    • Unsupported crypto assets will be converted to USDC.

    • EUR will be converted to EURC and transferred over.

     

    To ensure a smooth asset transfer, withdrawal and transfer will be restricted after the asset transfer is initiated. Delisted tokens on Bybit.nl will not be converted or transferred. Please withdraw it before you initiate the transfer. 

     

     

     

    What if I do not link my NL account with an EU account by Sep 29?

    • On Sep 30, the system will auto-create an EU account using your NL account credentials.

    • You can log in to the EU account on 1 Oct and complete identity verification to transfer your assets.

    • If an EU account with the same email already exists, the system will try to auto-link it.

      • Important: If the existing EU account has a different identity from your NL account, the binding will fail.

    • We strongly recommend initiating the account binding yourself by Sep 29 to avoid any issues.
