While high annualized lending rates (10.43%) boost deposit attractiveness, the large scale of collateral and loans requires caution, as liquidation pressure during extreme market conditions could cause phased liquidity shocks. Although governance token volatility may short-term impact platform risk appetite, it does not undermine USD1’s intrinsic peg stability. It is recommended to monitor external risk events and platform liquidity data, dynamically adjust positions, and avoid blindly chasing highs at peak leverage.

Over the past month, USD1 has repeatedly settled within the $0.9988–1.0004 range, almost perfectly pegged to 1 USD. Even on April 6th, when trading volume exceeded 2.5 million, there was no significant premium or discount, demonstrating ample platform liquidity and effective market maker hedging to absorb supply-demand shocks. To address redemption risks from previous DeFi lending positions, the project team minted 25 million USD1 via the TokenGovernor contract and simultaneously bought back 3 million. After the recent repayment of a $25 million loan, the available lending limit rose to $35 million, and the annualized deposit rate increased to 10.43%, higher than USDC’s 9.07% and USDT’s 7.74%. These high yields attract additional deposits, but with $162 million in loans and $402 million in collateral on the platform, a sharp fluctuation in collateral asset prices could trigger accelerated liquidations, creating a liquidity challenge.

The governance token previously fell by more than 19% due to controversy over self-financed lending, causing some negative impact on the project’s overall credibility. Although USD1 itself did not lose its peg, short-term market risk appetite may be suppressed by this incident. However, the issuance and buyback mechanism, along with efficient liquidation and debt repayment operations, demonstrate that the platform management is capable of handling sudden liquidity risks, so the effect on the stablecoin's peg should be limited.
